Chikamagalur is a land of coffee & hill station in Karnataka. City attracts tourists for its western ghats
All this happened with a small talk with my friend. About any trip , the first place told was Chikmagalur.
Started our journey from davangere by train , a journey of 2 hours took a destination BIRUR. We made a private vehicle for our explore
As a part of our tradition all starts with a temple run. Here comes the first place
KALLATHGIRI FALLS
The Kallathigiri Falls, also known as the Kalhatti Falls, is a magnificent natural abode located 50 kilometres away from Chikmakagalur.The Kalhatti Falls is the first major waterfall around Chikmagalur, and easily the most distinctive one. Water drops from an overhanging ledge, allowing people to take showers beneath it. The falls contain the headwaters of the river Sharavathi
It forms 12 small waterfalls ,one above the other with slippery rocks . It’s almost difficult to reach 12th by trek

Kemmangundi
It’s a green hillstation in tarikere taluk , scenes beautiful , green everywhere . It is 1435m above the sea level
Z Point is a wonderful trekking spot and one of the prime places to visit in Kemmanagundi. Z Point is a beautiful spot with deep valleys all around amidst thick green surroundings. The cool breeze on the peak mesmerizes visitors. It is one of the best short treks in Karnataka with beautiful views of nature and valleys.

Mullayangiri
Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, India.Mullayyanagiri is located at in the Chandra Dhrona Hill Ranges of the Western Ghats of Chikkamagaluru Taluk. With a height of 1,930 metres

The peak gets its name from a small temple at the summit, which is dedicated to a sage “Mulappa swamy” who is believed to have meditated at the caves only a couple of feet below the summit. The caves are accessible and not very deep, they have a direct entrance to the garbagudi of the temple, which is now blocked by the temple priests.
A way back from mullayangiri on a road side , you wil get private vehicles. For a beautiful water falls you should pay 800 rupees per vehicle with 7 members limit . 4-5kms ride in forest, you can see a mesmerizing water falls – JHARI or DHABDABE FALLS
Best plan to explore chikamagalur in 2 days
1) start your first day morning with KALLATHGIRI falls. On a return way you can visit HEBBE falls. Spend sunset at KEMMANGUNDI.
2) experience foggy sunrise of 2nd day in MULLAYANGIRI . On a way return visit to JHARI falls. At last enjoy BABA BUDANGIRI
